Shifting the lens of family courts from parent conflict to children’s lived experience
SPLIT brings kids voice into the family court process,
so that coparents can see their separation through
their children’s eyes and make more child-centered choices.

Children between the ages of 6–12 years old describe in their own words what their parents’ separation felt like for them.

WHY SPLIT?
A shared starting point for parents, judges, and court staff
Parents involved in the family courts system, are often focused on the conflict in front of them. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How is “district size” determined?
We use the estimated number of separating parents who will pass through your court in a 12-month period, not your total docket. If you’re unsure of the number, we can help you estimate it from county population or caseload averages.
What if we go over our tier’s parent view limit?
We don’t cut off access mid-year. If usage significantly exceeds your tier under Court-Sponsored, we’ll talk to you about the next tier at your annual renewal. There are no surprise fees during the year.
Are both films included?
Yes. Every court receives both SPLIT: The EARLY Years and SPLIT UP: The TEEN Years. Courts can assign one or both films to parents depending on the ages of their children.
Is there a setup fee?
For the Court-Sponsored Plan:
Portal setup, court branding, and implementation support are included in the annual fee.
For the Parent Access Plan:
The same setup and ongoing technical support are covered by a flat Annual Court Setup & Support Fee of $750 per year, the same for every court regardless of size.
Can one program cover multiple courtrooms or divisions?
Yes, a single program covers your entire district. Multi-division, multi-county, or statewide implementations requiring separate portals or customized materials are quoted separately, as each division’s materials are customized.
Do you offer non-profit or government pricing?
We work with courts of all sizes and funding structures. If your district has budget constraints, please contact us. We want SPLIT to be accessible to all parents and will do our best to find a solution that works.
Which funding path is right for our court?
Court-Sponsored works well when your court wants to guarantee no cost to parents through one predictable annual fee.
Parent Access works well when your court wants to offer SPLIT with minimal impact on its budget, with parents covering their own access. Both include the same portal setup, materials, and support. We’re glad to talk through which is the best fit for your district.
